In the start-up world, there is a concept of three f's called friends, family, and fools. It is about asking for investments at an early stage from those who currently surrounding you.

The best way to check an idea is to spend your funds. Usually, it is insufficient, so you must raise money. For obvious reasons, the best idea is to raise your current network. If you are not able to raise money from people currently surrounding you, then your communication skills are not developed enough to raise money from completely unknown people.

Building connections is the most important skill for future founders. So try to get support from close friends first. If they accept you, the whole world will soon accept you.
